Could eating on a schedule replace calorie counting for diabetes?

NCT ID NCT05290246

Summary

This study is testing if time-restricted eating, where you eat only during a set daily window, is a simpler and more sustainable way to help control blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes compared to traditional calorie counting. It involves 115 overweight or obese adults who are managing their diabetes with metformin. The main goal is to see if this eating pattern improves key blood sugar measures over 24 weeks while also looking at changes in weight and how easy the plan is to follow.
