Timing your meals may tame prediabetes, new study finds
NCT ID NCT03504683
First seen May 05, 2026 ยท Last updated May 05, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether time-restricted eating (eating only during a set window each day) can improve blood sugar control, blood pressure, and heart health in adults with prediabetes. Over 100 participants were assigned to eat early (8 am-3 pm), midday (1 pm-8 pm), or a normal schedule (8 am-8 pm) for 8 weeks, with all food provided. The goal was to see if when you eat matters, even when total food intake is the same.
