Can nightly fasting slow Alzheimer's? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT06548191
Summary
This study is testing whether restricting eating to a 10-hour window each day (fasting for 14 hours overnight) can help slow cognitive decline in people with mild cognitive impairment or early Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will enroll 60 older adults to follow this eating pattern for 3-6 months while tracking their sleep, activity, and cognitive function. The study aims to see if this dietary approach is feasible for this population and whether it affects biological markers related to Alzheimer's progression.
