New eye injection could change treatment for wet AMD

Summary
This study tests a new drug called tiespectus (MK-8748) against the current standard treatment, aflibercept, for people with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD). About 960 participants will receive injections into the eye and be followed for a year to see if tiespectus can improve vision as well as or better than aflibercept. The goal is to find a new option for those who don't respond well to existing treatments.
