Summary
This study tested a 15-session program called 'Think and Cope Positively' for people with severe mental illness (like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder). The program uses techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and positive psychology to increase positive emotions, optimism, and life purpose. 449 participants were split into two groups: one received the program plus usual care, the other stayed on a waiting list. Results showed that the program improved satisfaction with life and psychological wellbeing.
