Heat-Seeking camera could spot Kids' bone infections in seconds
NCT ID NCT07388017
First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study explores whether a high-resolution thermal camera can help doctors quickly detect infections in children's bones, joints, or soft tissues. About 30 children with suspected infections will have a 10-second video taken of the affected area to see if temperature differences can spot the infection. The goal is to find a faster, cheaper, and safer alternative to MRI scans, which often require sedation for young children.
