Liver cancer patients get double punch: radiation beads plus immunotherapy

NCT ID NCT05063565

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests a two-step treatment for liver cancer. First, tiny radioactive beads are injected into the liver to destroy tumors. Then, two immunotherapy drugs (durvalumab and tremelimumab) are given to help the immune system fight any remaining cancer. The goal is to see how well this combination shrinks tumors and to check for side effects. About 100 adults with liver cancer are taking part.
