First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a gentle, non-invasive therapy called therapeutic touch can improve sleep and reduce fatigue in people with advanced cancer who are receiving palliative care. Sixty-one patients took part, with one group receiving 20 minutes of therapeutic touch daily for five days, while the other group continued standard care. The results measured changes in sleep quality and fatigue severity using questionnaires.
