NCT ID NCT06872268
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether taking pictures and writing about them can help people with Marfan syndrome express their feelings and improve their sense of well-being. Eight adults with Marfan syndrome took part in photography and writing activities, then shared their experiences in interviews. The goal was to see if these creative activities could be a helpful addition to their regular care.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
therapeutic photography and expressive writing
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, non-drug way for people with Marfan syndrome to cope emotionally and feel better day-to-day.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early feasibility study with only 8 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It measures feelings and experiences, not hard medical outcomes.
