New hope for men with early spread prostate cancer: targeted radiation trial launches

Summary
This study is for men whose prostate cancer has spread to a few spots (up to 5) in the bones or soft tissues. It tests whether adding precise, high-dose radiation to those spots, along with standard radiation to the prostate and hormone therapy, can keep the cancer from growing back longer than standard treatment alone. About 122 men will take part, and the study is currently recruiting.
