Heal your ankle at home? study tests virtual rehab vs. clinic visits
NCT ID NCT06811090
Summary
This study tested whether a home-based telerehabilitation program works as well as standard in-person physical therapy for people recovering from a broken ankle. Researchers compared the two approaches in 200 patients to see which was better at restoring ankle function and improving quality of life. Participants in the telerehab group used a smartphone app to follow guided exercises at home, while the other group attended clinic sessions.
