Ankle fracture recovery: stirrup brace may boost activity levels

NCT ID NCT07521696

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a lighter ankle stirrup helps people recover physical activity faster than a standard rigid brace after an ankle fracture. About 280 adults with ankle fractures will wear activity trackers for 12 weeks to measure movement. The goal is to see if allowing more ankle motion early on leads to better recovery without harming healing.
