Summary

This study looks at whether using a tourniquet (a tight band to stop blood flow) during ankle fracture surgery causes more pain or complications afterward. About 100 adults with closed ankle fractures from a simple fall will be randomly assigned to have surgery with or without a tourniquet. Patients won't know which group they're in, and researchers will track pain, swelling, wound healing, and blood clot risks for 3 months after surgery.
