Screen prompts get hospital patients moving
NCT ID NCT06336252
Summary
This study tested whether a simple mobile device could help older hospital patients be more active. About 130 patients with conditions like COPD, heart failure, or frailty were randomly assigned to either use the device or not. The device gave visual feedback on their movement, aiming to encourage them to spend more time out of bed during their hospital stay and for three months after going home.
