NCT ID NCT00739362
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests whether a mild electrical current applied to the scalp (TDCS) can reduce food intake and help with weight loss. About 148 obese adults aged 18-60 will receive either real or fake TDCS sessions three times a week for four weeks, while also following a reduced-calorie diet. The goal is to see if stimulating a brain area linked to fullness can make it easier to eat less and lose weight.
