Early TB pill for kids could stop infection before it starts

Summary
This study tests whether giving tuberculosis (TB) preventive medicine right away to children and teens who live with a TB patient can stop them from getting infected. About 647 kids aged 5 to 17 will be split into two groups: one gets the medicine immediately, the other gets standard care (medicine only if they test positive). The goal is to see if early treatment reduces new infections measured by a blood test after 12 weeks.
