New ALS drug trial aims to slow disease progression

Summary

This study tests whether the experimental drug tazbentetol can slow the progression of ALS, a disease that weakens muscles and affects movement. About 430 adults with ALS will receive either the drug or a placebo. The main goal is to see if tazbentetol helps maintain daily functioning, like walking and talking, over time.
