First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether the type of sedation given during a minimally invasive heart valve replacement (TAVR) affects how well patients recover the next day. 126 adults will be randomly assigned to receive propofol, dexmedetomidine, or midazolam with fentanyl during their procedure. They will complete surveys about pain, comfort, and satisfaction on days 1 and 7 after surgery.
