NCT ID NCT07665541
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares task-oriented occupational therapy to standard rehab for people recovering from rotator cuff surgery. Thirty participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups, attending 40-minute sessions twice a week for 10 weeks. The goal is to see if focusing on meaningful daily activities improves performance and satisfaction more than conventional exercises.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
task-oriented occupational therapy
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a more effective rehab approach that helps people return to meaningful daily activities faster after rotator cuff surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 30 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The therapy is behavioral, so benefits depend on individual effort and adherence.
