Summary
This study looked at whether slowly reducing prescribed opioids in people with long-term non-cancer pain can help manage pain and improve quality of life. 140 participants were split into two groups: one started tapering right away, the other waited 4 months. The goal was to see if tapering lowers opioid use without worsening pain.
