First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests two types of toothbrush bristles—tapered and round—to see which one removes more plaque, reduces gum bleeding, and causes less gum damage. About 70 adults with gum disease will use one of the two brushes at home for 4 weeks. The goal is to find out which bristle shape is better for daily oral care.
