Groin pain during heart procedures? nerve block may offer relief

NCT ID NCT06576128

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a numbing injection (TAP block) given before heart procedures done through the groin can reduce pain and improve patient and doctor satisfaction. About 100 adults having planned heart catheterization or stent placement will be randomly assigned to receive the block or standard care. The goal is to see if this simple technique makes the procedure more comfortable.
