First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will observe 1,000 critically ill patients in European ICUs to see if those with weakened immune systems are more or less likely to pick up drug-resistant bacteria. Researchers want to understand if current isolation measures are working and how to better control the spread of these dangerous germs. The goal is to improve antibiotic use and infection prevention for all ICU patients.
