Spine surgery patients may pee easier with prostate drug, study hopes

Summary

This study tests whether tamsulosin, a drug often used for prostate problems, can prevent or shorten trouble urinating after spine surgery. About 20 adults having certain types of spine surgery will take the drug and be monitored. The goal is to reduce the need for catheters and get people home sooner.
