Summary
This study aimed to understand if a specific type of immune cell (T cells) causes arteries to stiffen and function poorly as people age. Researchers planned to test this by giving an existing arthritis drug, Abatacept, to healthy older adults to see if it improved artery health. The study was withdrawn early and did not enroll any participants.
