NCT ID NCT04786587

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study checks if a short questionnaire called T-ACE can correctly identify pregnant women who may be drinking alcohol at risky levels. Researchers will compare the questionnaire results with a blood test that measures alcohol use over the past three weeks. About 2,425 pregnant women from three hospitals in northern France will take part. If the questionnaire proves accurate, it could become a standard tool to help protect mothers and babies.
