Arthritis patients may swap IV infusions for convenient at-home shots

NCT ID NCT05424926

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether people with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, or spine arthritis could safely switch from receiving infliximab through an IV infusion at a clinic to giving themselves a simple shot under the skin at home. 22 adults who were already stable on IV infliximab were offered the switch. The main goal was to see how many stayed on the at-home shot for at least 6 months. This approach aims to make treatment more convenient while still controlling the disease.
