First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study will test a new tool called the CVAC system, which uses a steerable tube to suction out kidney stones during surgery. About 1,000 people who need stone removal will either get this new method or a standard one. The main goal is to see if the CVAC system leaves less stone debris behind, which could lower the chance of future problems.
