Holy sound healing: quran recitation may ease Post-Cesarean blues
NCT ID NCT07354334
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether listening to Surah Al-Inshirah (a chapter from the Quran) in the first two days after a C-section can improve a mother's spiritual well-being, lower depression risk, and strengthen her bond with her newborn. About 172 first-time Muslim mothers who had a C-section will either receive routine care or also listen to the recitation. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost practice can support emotional recovery after childbirth.
