New program aims to cut veteran suicide by speeding up access to care

Summary

This study tests a program called SUPERCEDE that helps veterans at risk for suicide get quicker access to VA mental health services. About 100 veterans who use both VA and community care will be randomly assigned to either SUPERCEDE or a standard talk therapy. The goal is to see if SUPERCEDE reduces suicidal thoughts and improves daily functioning.
