Can music lessons rewire Teens' social media habits?
NCT ID NCT06402253
First seen Aug 11, 2026 · Last updated Aug 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study explores whether three months of arts-based digital training—either music composition or photography—can change how teenagers aged 13-16 use and are affected by social media. Researchers will compare these active interventions to a passive control group to see if the training improves mood, attention, and mental health, and reduces the negative impacts of social media overuse. Participants will complete evaluations before and after the program, including cognitive tests, brain imaging, and weekly mood and screen-time tracking.
