First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether sulfasalazine, a drug used for arthritis, can prevent preterm birth in women who have had one before. The drug aims to lower a stress hormone linked to early labor. About 50 pregnant women will take either sulfasalazine or a placebo, and researchers will track hormone levels and birth timing.
