Crisis hotline teams with hospital to stop suicide after ER discharge

NCT ID NCT05825820

Summary

This study is testing a new support program to prevent suicide attempts in the high-risk weeks after someone leaves the emergency room for suicidal thoughts. A local crisis hotline organization will call or text participants weekly for 12 weeks to check in, discuss coping skills, and help connect them to care. The main goal is to see if this partnership between a hospital and community group is practical and well-received by patients.
