Summary

This study tests whether giving children nose drops of dexmedetomidine or esketamine before anesthesia can reduce negative behavior changes like anxiety, sleep problems, or irritability after day surgery. About 342 children aged 2 to 12 will be randomly assigned to receive one of these drugs or a placebo. Researchers will also monitor brain waves to see if they relate to behavior changes.
