Cannabis compounds tested on immune cells from arthritis and lupus patients

NCT ID NCT06842316

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at how natural cannabis compounds (like CBD and THC) affect immune cells from 100 people with chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and inflammatory bowel disease. Researchers will take a blood sample and expose the cells to different cannabis extracts in a lab to see if they reduce inflammation. The goal is to understand which cannabis profiles might help control immune responses, but this is not a treatment study—it is a lab-based observation.
