First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether intensive, face-to-face coaching on lifestyle changes and medication adherence could reduce strokes and mini-strokes in 120 high-risk Native American adults in Wisconsin. Participants received either intensive coaching or standard care, with regular health checks and education. The goal was to see if this community-based approach could improve blood pressure, cholesterol, and other risk factors.
