Brain mapping after stroke could predict recovery
NCT ID NCT07584681
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026
Summary
This study uses advanced MRI scans and computer tools to create a detailed map of brain connections in people who have had a stroke in the middle cerebral artery. Researchers will track how the stroke disrupts these connections and see if the changes can help predict recovery over three months. The goal is to better understand brain healing and guide future rehabilitation. Ten adults who received clot-removal treatment and still have motor weakness will participate.
