Squeeze away the jitters: stress ball may calm heart-procedure patients
NCT ID NCT07723521
First seen Jul 23, 2026 · Last updated Jul 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests whether squeezing a stress ball during coronary angiography — a common heart-imaging procedure — can lower patients' anxiety, fear, and physical stress while improving comfort. About 64 adults scheduled for elective angiography will be randomly assigned to either standard care or standard care plus a stress ball exercise. Researchers will measure anxiety, fear, heart rate, blood pressure, and comfort before and after the procedure to see if this simple, low-cost tool makes a difference.
