No-Needle pain relief: breastfeeding, VR, or stress ball tested for stitching after birth
NCT ID NCT07510477
First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at three simple methods—breastfeeding, using a stress ball, or wearing virtual reality goggles—to see if they can reduce pain, anxiety, and stress during episiotomy repair (stitching) after childbirth. About 120 first-time mothers will be randomly assigned to one of these groups or standard care. Researchers will measure pain, anxiety, stress hormones, and comfort levels to find which approach works best.
