Squeeze away surgery stress: study tests simple ball for calmer cataract ops

Summary

This study looks at whether using a stress ball during cataract surgery can lower patients' pain and fear and increase their satisfaction. About 60 adults having their first cataract surgery will be asked to squeeze a stress ball during the procedure. Researchers will measure pain, fear, and satisfaction using simple questionnaires and scales.
