Simple stress ball and breathing tricks may ease pain after knee surgery

NCT ID NCT07586436

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether using a stress ball or doing breathing exercises can reduce pain and keep heart rate and blood pressure stable when a surgical drain is removed after knee replacement. About 105 adults will be split into three groups: one using a stress ball, one doing breathing exercises, and one getting standard care. The goal is to find simple, drug-free ways to make this short but painful procedure more comfortable.
