First seen Dec 26, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at whether older adults (age 60+) with a type of heart failure called HFpEF can safely stop taking beta-blockers and feel better. Participants are randomly assigned to either gradually reduce their beta-blocker dose or continue taking it for about 4 months. The goal is to see if stopping the medication improves symptoms, quality of life, and reduces hospitalizations.
