First seen Dec 26, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether gradually stopping beta-blockers can improve symptoms and quality of life in older adults (age 60+) with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). About 240 participants will either stop their beta-blocker or continue it for 4 months. Researchers will track hospitalizations, heart-related symptoms, and mood to see if stopping the medication leads to better outcomes.
