First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether a new at-home stool DNA test (Cologuard) could help more Alaska Native people get screened for colorectal cancer, which is very common in this group. Over 2,000 adults who were due for screening were randomly assigned to receive the test with extra support, reminders, or usual care. The goal was to see if the test makes screening easier and more accessible, especially for those in remote areas.
