Emergency vs planned stoma surgery: which leads to better quality of life?

Summary
This study looks at how well a stoma works and how it affects quality of life in people with colorectal cancer. Researchers will compare those who had a stoma created as an emergency procedure versus those who had it planned. About 700 participants will fill out a questionnaire about stoma function and their overall well-being about two years after surgery.
