Can a wearable ostomy model boost nursing Students' stoma care skills?

NCT ID NCT06826404

First seen Aug 07, 2026 · Last updated Aug 07, 2026

Summary

This trial investigates whether using a wearable ostomy model with a standardized patient improves stoma care skills and learning satisfaction in nursing students compared to a low-fidelity simulator. About 102 nursing students who have completed certain coursework will be randomly assigned to one of two training methods. After training, their stoma care skills and satisfaction levels will be measured to see if the more realistic simulation makes a difference.
