First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests an intravenous immune globulin (IGIV 10%) against a placebo in 38 adults with stiff person syndrome, a rare condition causing muscle stiffness and spasms. The main goal is to see if the treatment improves walking speed over 24 weeks. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo, and neither they nor their doctors will know which they get.
