Summary
This study tested two different eye injections—a steroid implant (Ozurdex) and an anti-VEGF drug—to see which better controls swelling in the retina before cataract surgery in people with diabetic macular edema. Sixteen adults with diabetes and retinal swelling completed the study. Researchers measured retinal thickness and vision changes for three months after surgery.
