Stem cell shots tested for debilitating Crohn's complications
NCT ID NCT02677350
Summary
This was an early, small safety study to test injections of donor stem cells into painful, hard-to-heal fistulas in people with Crohn's disease. The goal was to see if the treatment was safe and if it could help close these fistulas and improve patients' quality of life. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
