Summary
This study tested a one-time intravenous infusion of donor stem cells in people who had a recent ischemic stroke (within 9 days). The goal was to see if the cells could help the brain heal and improve recovery. Participants were adults aged 18 to 80 with a moderate stroke in a specific brain area. The treatment was given in addition to standard care, and no lifelong medication was required.
